MSP Crop List

The Minimum Support Price (MSP) is a crucial policy tool used by the Government of India to ensure farmers receive a fair price for their produce. MSP is announced for various crops at the beginning of each sowing season, categorized into Kharif (monsoon) and Rabi (winter) seasons.

These MSPs are determined based on recommendations from the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), considering factors like the cost of production, demand-supply dynamics, and ensuring a reasonable margin for farmers. The government aims to provide farmers with a margin of at least 50% over their cost of production, aligning with the Union Budget 2018-19 announcement
